Volunteers Needed for Regency Record
The RECA Board is seeking volunteers to direct and manage the Regency Record quarterly newsletter. Yes, this has always been done by one or more previous Board members, but some of the needed skills are now lacking. We know it’s a lot for one person, but there are three main areas that make it work, and you can perhaps help with one or more of them.
- Advertising – connecting with potential new sponsors, tracking existing ones, and assuring their ads appear as they like in the Regency Record. RECA depends a lot on the financial support from our advertisers.
- Stories – soliciting material useful and interesting for and about our community. We get local business and recreation information, vacation notes, cartoons, images, poems, reports on our local activities, etc. We can even offer SSL credit hours for young writers in school who contribute to the Regency Record. But it takes a bit of time to coordinate and bring this material together each quarter.
- Production – We have existing software tools for planning the layout and editing, and already have a final copy editor who can publish what is provided to them. But the planning part for organizing an issue is an open task.
